PANews reported on November 13 that Metaplanet, a Japanese listed company, released its third-quarter financial data and the fair value of its Bitcoin holdings. Metaplanet's current Bitcoin valuation gains have reached 4.27 billion yen (about 27.54 million U.S. dollars), a valuation increase that exceeds the company's market value at the beginning of the year. Despite the increase in the value of its Bitcoin holdings, Metaplanet reported a net loss of $2.1 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2024, an improvement from a loss of $2.7 million in the same period last year.
