美 최대 거래소 코인베이스, 영국 시장 공식 진출

코인데스크에 따르면 미국 암호화폐 거래소 코인베이스가 영국 시장에 공식 진출했다. 코인베이스는 이날 영국 금융감독청(FCA) 등록 승인을 확보했다고 밝혔다. 현재까지 FCA에 등록을 신청해 승인된 비율은 14%에 불과하다. 매체는 “이번 승인으로 코인베이스는 영국 내 최대 규모의 암호화폐 거래소가 됐다. 코인베이스가 영국에서 서비스를 제공하는 것은 이번이 처음이다. 코인베이스는 이번 승인을 위해 지난 6개월 동안 작업을 해 온 것으로 알려져 있다. FCA 등록은 매우 까다로운 것으로 유명하다”고 설명했다.
