PANews reported on July 10 that Bitget announced that 30,001,053.1 BGB will be destroyed in the second quarter of 2025, accounting for about 2.56% of the circulation, with a total value of about US$138 million. The corresponding number of BGB will be sent to the destruction address, and the on-chain record will be published after completion.

Previously, Bitget Token (BGB) updated and upgraded its destruction plan. The new destruction mechanism is based on the actual use scenarios of BGB, linked to the "on-chain gas fee", and based on the actual use scenarios of BGB to ensure community transparency. The first quarterly destruction was completed on April 17.

Current CoinMarketCap data shows that BGB has a market value of approximately US$5.1 billion, ranking 27th in the global crypto asset list and third among global centralized exchange (CEX) platform coins.
