US stocks opened with Meta up 10% and Microsoft down over 9%, marking its biggest drop since 2020.

PANews reported on January 29th that US stocks opened mixed, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.14%, the S&P 500 up 0.18%, and the Nasdaq Composite down 0.13%. Meta Platforms (META.O) surged about 10% due to its fourth-quarter results, first-quarter guidance, and full-year capital expenditures exceeding market expectations. Microsoft (MSFT.O), on the other hand, saw its stock price fall more than 9%, its biggest intraday drop since 2020, due to market concerns over slowing growth in its cloud business and record-high capital expenditures.
