Kraken pledges $2 million to two pro-cryptocurrency groups in the US

PANews reported on September 24th that according to Cointelegraph, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has pledged $2 million to two politically aligned groups in the United States to defend the rights of American crypto users. On Tuesday, Kraken co-CEO Arjun Sethi announced on the X platform that he would donate $1 million to the Freedom Fund PAC and increase his funding to America First Digital to $1 million by 2025. Sethi described this as a strategic investment in the legal framework that will shape the future of cryptocurrencies, emphasizing that Kraken supports principles such as privacy, self-custody, and innovation, rather than specific political parties. However, both groups support Trump and Republican-led causes in the United States, with the Freedom Fund PAC being accused of being a super PAC supporting Trump and Republican candidates.
