US Representative Cynthia Lummis questions Justice Department's decision to sell Bitcoin despite presidential order.

PANews reported on January 6 that U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis posted on the X platform, expressing "deep concern" that the U.S. government was proceeding with liquidation operations despite a presidential executive order explicitly requiring the confiscation of Bitcoin for inclusion in the strategic Bitcoin reserve. This statement was a response to journalist Frank Corva's report on the Justice Department's sale of Bitcoin paid in the plea agreement of Samourai's developers . Lummis warned that the U.S. should not continue to waste such strategic assets, especially given the active accumulation of Bitcoin in other countries.
