PANews reported on November 26th that Binance plans to suspend token deposits and withdrawals on the Ontology (ONT) network at 15:00 (UTC+8) on December 1st, 2025, to support its network upgrade and hard fork. The project team anticipates conducting the network upgrade and hard fork on December 1st, 2025 (UTC+8).

Please note the changes in token economics following this event:

• The Ontology network uses a dual-token model: Ontology (ONT) and Ontology Gas (ONG).
• Ontology Gas (ONG) Maximum and Total Supply Changes: It will be reduced from 1 billion to 800 million, of which 200 million tokens will be burned immediately;
• Ontology Gas (ONG) circulation supply: No immediate changes, but the future supply cap may be capped at 750 million due to a permanent lock-up mechanism.
