OpenAI's proposed social network may consider using Orb, an eye-scanning device from World.

PANews reported on January 29th, citing Forbes, that two projects co-founded by Sam Altman may merge to create a human-only social media platform. The report, citing anonymous sources, states that OpenAI's new social network team may use Orb, the eye-scanning device from World (formerly Worldcoin), to verify user authenticity, while also evaluating the feasibility of adopting biometric technologies such as Apple's Face ID. This strategy aims to leverage the success of ChatGPT and Sora to create a social platform free from bot accounts.
