Iran accepts payment for arms sales using cryptocurrency

PANews reported on January 2nd that, according to the Financial Times, Iran's Defense Export Center (Mindex), under the Ministry of Defense, announced it is ready to negotiate military contracts, allowing for various payment methods, including digital currency, barter trade, or Iranian rials. Mindex, the agency responsible for Iran's overseas defense sales, has listed advanced weapons such as Emad ballistic missiles, Shahed drones, Soleimani-class warships, and short-range air defense systems, a move aimed at circumventing Western financial sanctions.
